Do you know what plant it was on. I'm trying to collect adult host plant records, and it looks like it's been feeding in the pictures. Some Leptospermum species I suppose?

@donhe thankyou! The case was covered in bits of vegetation type material. I don’t recall any rusty bits of iron that I could see. Unfortunately I left it out to dry and it has moved on overnight. I’d be interested to know about protective custody and how to do it for any future findings though!
