Canberra Nature Map and NatureMapr have had great success in adding to the collective knowledge of the Canberra region's flora, fauna and wildlife in general. They have brought citizen science to a whole new level. This has been recognised by Landcare ACT with two awards.

In 2015, when Canberra Nature Map was still new, it was the winner of the "People's Choice Award".

Later, in 2019, NatureMapr and Canberra Nature Map won the prestigeous "Citizen Science Award".
