Although these older photos of mine of the lizards were just registered as a new species for Attunga Point they were actually photographed in 2014. At the time I saw the water dragons many times in the spring of 2014 basking at the same spot. Have not seen them there for several years now.

I think it is heatwolei but I needed to see if the front of the ear opening is white edged, not quite visible here. If only you had turned the head a little more to see the ear properly it would have been a great help. Something to remember for next time.

While Saproscincus does occur in the Braidwood area, there is no way of telling what species these are just from these images. If you see and photograph the hatchlings, then that may be a different ball game.
