Thank you - I see the folded back ears now - and the 'y' noseleaf. Much appreciated.

And thank you for the warning - no biting or scratching thankfully. (It needed rescuing from having fallen somewhere very exposed on our verandah.)

Lovely little bat. You can see the clear Y nose leaf and the “rams horn” folded back long ears.

Please do not handle bats if you have not been vaccinated. If you were bitten or scratched, please immediately get medical care.

It's one of the small forest bats, genus Vespadelus there are 3 species in the Canberra region they all look very similar and need clear photos and precise measurements to get down to individual species IDs (mere millimetres seperate them).
