Flew out of a tree onto the ground beside the track. May have been disturbed by a predator and to awaken fully from torpor.

MPennay FYI. In mid August I installed Birdweather's PUC Bat edition at my place 15 Fairfax St O'Connor. Since then a few microbat 'soundscapes' have been recorded, but this species is the only one so far identified by the AI algorithm to the species level - on three occasions: 26/8/36 and on 20/8/26 twice on that night. These records can be seen at the online Birdweather website for station 'PUC-29216-Bats'. I'm hoping for more as the weather warms up!
