It's a forest bat, genus Vespadelus, there are 3 very similar looking species locally and it would require measurements to identify which of the 3 it is. Based on general shape and colour I'd suggest it's probably southern forest bat, Vespadelus regulus, but it's impossible to say with any certainty from the photos alone. Southern forest bat is very common in the dry woodlands around the Southern Tablelands and Alps.
