Common name: Southern Rainbow-skink. SVL: 50mm

The Southern Rainbow-skink is one of thirty species of four-fingered or rainbow-skinks (Carlia). Four-fingered or rainbow skinks have four front and five back digits and belong to the Eugongylus Group of skinks. There is only one species in the Canberra region and is characterised by two broad relish-orange lateral stripes and four digits on front limbs.

Distribution: Found in Canberra in higher woodlands areas but rarely south of Canberra. Likely common on the western slopes.
