Keyed using VICFlora and then checked against PlantNet which also keys as D. scaberula if assuming the following is true in couplet 15: "Rachilla produced beyond the floret as a hairy bristle".

Deyeuxia scaberula

My suggestion was based off the sighting notes which say the plant was flowering in mid April. That would make it either G.Sylvicola or G.muelleriana at this altitude. It would be quite late and quite high for G.polysperes.

@Tapirlord doing the clean-up. Only one sighting for your suggested species on iNat, and it is by Jackie Miles, who left very comprehensive notes. Using those notes and PlantNet, my conclusion is that this is unlikely to be G sylvicola (her specimen was flowering in April) and instead is G polysperes. Thoughts?

We need to see the teeth on the mandibles. They are not bilaterally symmetrical!

Termitoidae (informal group)

Obviously not! They can also occur at altitude.
