User's notes
The slug was sighted on the underside of a sloping branch, head facing down. The final three images are upside down and were taken with the camera inverted to make the images easier to view. Once the slug became aware of the camera in close proximity it did what must be one of the painfully slowest escapes in history, which is documented in following sighting 4384353. The escape has begun in the final image where the slug has started to slowly peel away from the underside of the branch.

Cystopelta slugs make spiral faecal coils that are left behind on tree trunks and in leaf litter. These coils are always a good indication Cystopelta are about
