Thanks Tim, a new species on NatureMapr for Canberra & Southern Tablelands! There are only a few records of this ant, but I have seen two species during surveys around the Canberra region, so they are around, if not very common. And this one is a queen - you can just see where the wings used to join the body. Cheers, Jon

Male or either Perga affinis or Perga dorsalis. Only females can be visually identified if the details of ovipositor sheath hairs are clear.
