Moths of Victoria have provided a visual key to Hypobapta including fore and hindwing underwing photos entitled 'Geometridae-Geometrinae- Key Page 7/7 5 Hypobapta' accompanying Part 4. A second look at this posting with reference to the MoV key suggests to me that this posting looks, based on the forewing and hindwing pattern, more like H. xenomorpha. See also postings of H. xenomorpha on the Atlas of Living Australia., however H. xenomorpha seems to have been primarily reported so far from WA and SA only. Bold Systems 4 verifies the WA and SA distribution but also shows a distinctively different forewing pattern in some specimens. I am therefore suggesting an alternative Hypobapta sp, identification for now.
