Romulea rosea has six petals and a greenish centre. The local native Convolvulus has five lobes on a wide tube,is usually pale pinke, and nearly always has at least one lobed leaf left at flowering.

Ok got me. Just assumed all the pink flowers low on the ground were bind weed. I will look more closely in future and get a photo of the bind weed to add. Thanks Betty

Thanks, I was being lazy while out weeding and just took the photo without really looking. I am not familiar with Romulea but should know the bind weed.

This resource is great and I appreciate the education i am getting. Lots of forbs are getting ready to flower so I will hopefully be adding many more over the next few weeks.

Michael, I cannot think what else has six bright pink petals and is close to the ground. They are somewhat aberrant, I agree.

I've added a cropped portion of the photo to include just the top flower, which looks like a Convolvulus. The leaves look like Convolvulus too.

Betty is right, but you can add other photos this way: Look at the sighting, and click on the "Edit" button, then move the second photo in as for the original.
Since you are a trusted contributor, you can also change the location and date in this way.

A trap for young players when editing is that after the tick showing the photo has uploaded, you have to scroll down to the bottom and hit Update.
