Canberra Woodland Bird Quality Index Surveys

Posted by jks

Yuma birdos. There are many places across our ACT Reserve System that have limited to no bird data. We would like to fill in these data deficient zones to inform a Canberra Woodland Bird Quality Index MapHelp us fill in the blanks! 🦉

Get started during this weekend, or anytime you like. To undertake a survey, record any bird seen or heard (with or without a photo) in approximately 2ha area (80m radius) for 20mins at a survey point identified on the NatureMapr survey points map. Survey will run from 25th October 2024 until we have enough data to fill in the gaps.

More info on this event, please head to NatureMapr Surveys: https://canberra.naturemapr.org/surveys/

🦅 Thank you to our amazing citizen scientists for helping with this important work, which will inform land and conservation planning and management. 🦅
