Directions for reaching Caves Quarry: Leave Canberra on the Cotter Road. Cross the Cotter River and proceed up hill and beyond on Paddy's River Road, past two turnings to right (Laurel Camp Rd and Vanitys Crossing Road). Almost immediately road bends left, take turning left just beyond this bend. On dirt road, take first right, second left, first right to arrive below dam wall. Dam is very obviously visible on Google Earth. See Google Earth map. Recording is made from dam wall.; Size: 2 150 m�; Aquatic Veg: Occasional reed and sedge clump around margin of dam; Bank Veg: Grasses, acacias, willows, a few blackberry clumps, St John's wort, Grey guinea flower.; Overhead Canopy: Very slight overhang by a few acacias; Landscape: Tree and shrub tubestock on three sides, pines on the fourth side and surrounding the tubestock;
