Hi Patrick, this ant does look similar to Myrmecia simillima, but the mendibles don't look quite right in this photo, so have left it at genus level. And it may have won the fight with the Camponotus, but I'm pretty sure it didn't really want to be carrying most of one around! Cheers, Jon
