Protected NSW.
Grey Grass-tree is the only species of Xanthorrhoea occurring in the ACT. The ACT is on the eastern limit of the plant's range that stretches from inland Victoria to Inverell in NSW. This species was last systematically surveyed for in the ACT in the 1970s and there are few recent records, and most of those are for no more than tens of plants. Most records are from rocky and gravelly slopes above Tidbinbilla and near Mt McDonald. It is very susceptible to phytophthora, a soil-borne pathogen. We would like to know more about its distribution and whether it may require particular management
Xanthorrhoea glauca subsp. angustifolia is listed in the following regions:
Canberra & Southern Tablelands | Southern Highlands | Hume
