Trichoptera sp. (order) (Unidentified Caddisfly)

Caddisflies resemble small moths, but the wings are covered in fine hairs, rather than the scales that cloth the wings of moths. Caddisfly larvae are aquatic, and live inside a slken case that is camouflaged with grains of sand or bits of vegetation, with only the head and legs exposed. Adults are usually nocturnally active, and are attracted to lights; during the day they may be found resting on streamside vegetation.
