Seeing as how you had it in your hand I would need to see the belly to tell Crinia signifera from parinsignifera. I don't suppose you can remember if the belly was marbled black and white or granular grey?
I do concede the images are not very helpful but Marion Anstis has included a good image of tasmaniensis juvenile in her Tadpole book and I can't see this one fitting in there. I still think we are looking at Crinia here although I would be happy to stand corrected on what species. John, please bear in mind that finding the frog again does not guarantee it is the same individual!
