Inclined toward Chrysolatentia or Dichromodes or even Aponotoreas epicrossa, but haven't found a satisfactory match.

That trailing edge chequered pattern seems different. And hind wing was similarly dark in flight.

Owen has suggested to me Chrysolarentia melanchlaena. It looks like a fair match to me. Dark hindwing consistent with my observation.

For consistency with CNM Sighting No 4399159 I'm supporting. C. melancchlaena however I'd still like to see the species collected.
