If I have the ID correct, while classed as exotic I have had these slugs in my yard for over 20 years. I recall one year moving some cardboard boxes I had put in my compost bin. There were dozens of these slugs in the cardboard and one of my dogs decided to investigate. She came out with her face absolutely covered in yellow slime that took me days to clean off. Yuck!!!
I've never seen so many in one place again but I find them all the time. This one seems t have an opening on the right side of its body. I checked when photographing and it doesn't have a corresponding opening on the other side.
