Another of my regular visitors is of interest because of its long bill. When I first saw it a couple of years ago it was looking very tattered and worn. Speculation has been that it had beak and feather disease or that it is a domestic escapee that did not initially know how to fend for itself in the wild, thus the poor condition. This is perhaps borne out by the fact that it is the most tame, though I've observed that a man two streets over has the cockies sitting on his shoulder to feed.
