Desptie the overall similarity in appearance with Orthaga thrysalis and the unequivocal evidence presented by Bold Systems, can we be really certain that the Salma genus specimens we see in the ACT are most likely A. cinerascens and not S. cholica? I note that there are now many specimens for Victoria, NSW and SE Queensland on the ALA and iNaturalist identified as S. cholica. To my eye what they have in common is a prominent wide white patch in the forewing like in this specimen, whereas the majority of S. cinerascens there seem not to show a wide white patch.
