Hi Bill.
The pattern formed by the way the plates of the thorax fit together is rather different to that found in bees. To oversimplify, the top of the thorax between the wing bases is smooth in bees, never lumpy in the way shown in your images. The legs are much thinner than those of nearly all bees and the shape, length and number of segments of the antennae differ from those of bees.
