The furthest south sighting of Casbia rectaria that I could find was Sydney. Canberra is a bit of a strain. The markings on this specimen (4260161) are rather vaguer than on most of the published photos of C. rectaria, and look to me more like C. farinalis. Conversely, I think that some previous sightings that we identified as C. farinalis had more well defined markings, and actually look more like C. rectaria. It's a worry.
