Sighted on a handrail in ANBG's Rainforest Gully and very active.

According to 'The insects of Australia' (2nd ed., 1991), Diapriidae are no more than 6mm long.

Hi Kim. Thanks for the identification and information. When I took the images I estimated the overall length of the body and outstretched antennae to be equivalent to about 3 match heads, or 12mm, hence the recorded animal size. I'm no expert on this matter, so I'll defer to the experts and will change the sighting info. Tim
