Perched on an Astroloma sp (planted at ANPG), showing 'fluttering' behaviour - flapping wings rapidly while perched.

Several species are possible, and difficult to distinguish. E. decorata seems the most likely.

Glenn, thanks. I think I saw online somewhere that you recorded E. guttularis for Canberra's Bioblitz, on Black Mountain, so I expect you are confident its not that species.

E. guttularis is one of the other possibilities - I think 4 in all. Even with the specimens in hand they look very similar. I can't go any further than "...seems the most likely"

To be more consistent with other genera where it is difficult to separate species, it's better to call this Entometa sp
