User's notes

Limnodynastes tasmaniensis 6-20 Crinia parinsignifera 6-20 2 grebe, 2 wood duck with duckling on dam. 4 egg masses seen attached to reeds at water surface. Directions to Myrtle Rise: Follow Nanima Road from the Barton Highway past the junction with Dairy Lane and Spring Range Road. McAliffe Lane is about the fifth turning on the left after this intersection. Myrtle Rise is the first drive way on the right. Follow road to house,turn right at house and immediately left through gate to dam.; Size: 2 800 m�; Aquatic Veg: Reeds around most of the edge of dam, brown submerged alga in water; Bank Veg: 3 species of reed round water's edge with grass and a few forbs above. Elsewhere dam bank is bare.; Overhead Canopy: None; Landscape: Cleared paddocks with very occasional mature eucalypts. Direct seeded paddock to SE has good scattered growth, mostly acacias.;
