It had rained the previous day 25/10 and also on the 26/10 when this recording was taken. The ducks flew away when I arrived, as before. There are a lot more frogs calling than on previous nights of the survey.; Size: 32 m�; Aquatic Veg: Specimen 3 grew in the pond, but most abundantly around the edge. The dominant pond weed had its roots in the mud and leaves lay flat on water surface (Specimen1). Much smaller quantities of specimen 2.; Bank Veg: The pond was ringed by mud. Dead reeds (specimen 3_ were in it and the pond. Most reeds grew on slightly drier ground and surrounded 2/3 of the ponds circumference; Overhead Canopy: No direct overhead canopy, but several E.blakeyi grew about a metre from the edge; Landscape: Mostly grassy woodland. Several large eucalypts had signs of fire damage. There was a lot of young eucalypt and youn cootamundra wattle regrowth on slopes; QAQC Notes: Audio microcassette, Photo printed colour, Tape recording on mircocassette is difficult to hear - I don't know how to make it normal speed.
