Acrotriche serrulata

How certain are you that this isn't Styphelia humifusum? The foliage looks a little bit more like that taxa to me at first glance. What do you think @JasonPStewartNMsnc2016

Thanks Ciaran. Unfortunately, I didn't grab any other photos, but I'll swing past on my way home and confirm.

Revisited the plant and confirming A. serrulata. Among other features, younger leaves pubescent on both sides - with S. humifusa being glabrous or scabridulous. Other diagnostic features also align with A. serrulata

Aah i just see this sighting and comments now late.

After reading these comments and looking at this photograph in full resolution,
i agree with the field notes of hairy, but nearly impossible to see in this photograph (both lighting and distance from the leaves),
except for tiny light refractions shadows suggeting hairs on leaves and so on,
thus now agree with the genus : *Acrotriche* .

IMHO all good, well based questions and answers,
i would say if i were there in the field with you and here now in brief form writing i suggest,
two points:
• At this time and season, now, i suggest please search throughout this plant until you find a remnant of old fertile material to confirm a species ID.
• i suggest please keep re-sighting this plant in each different season until you see and photograph fresh flowers and/or fresh fruits – fertile materials.

Why? Because i agree with genus *Acrotriche*,
but from the information here i cannot rule out more than one candidate species of the genus *Acrotriche*, inclusive of *Acrotriche serrulata* and other spp.
– please forgive me as i do not know so well the other species of *Acrotriche* in this ACT region.

*Acrotriche serrulata* i do know up close in the field, including hand weeding weed grasses' seedllings out from underneath plants in ecological restoration field professional works, all since circa 1988 in south-east Melb. region.

I'll upload my own *Acrotriche serrulata* and *Styphelia humifusa* sightings and photographs since the 1990s, part of my hundreds and thousands of plants' taxa sightings and digital photographs since the 1990s;
when time permits me
and NatureMapr's import sightings functionality ( https://naturemapr.org/content/help-and-support )
works without any issues
(currently much has been fixed there,
but it still munges every imported sighting's dates out of the imported date by between 1 hour and 12 hours.
Wasting time forcing me to then have to open each individual sighting, edit it, correct the munged dates errors and save it again.
All defeating the purpose of importing in bulk over individually uploading one sighting at a time.
I have just sent this bug fix request as written above here more or less, to NatureMapr through Contact page's form i filled out and sent . )
