But not inside AB. I walked up to the top a second time after I noticed the long spread of mowed love grass on both sides of the management track. I was assured it was the native love grass. If the ALG gets in and spreads to cover the native it would not be good. PCS has mowed, but cleans their machines. But I’ve also seen numerous RFS trucks using that entrance to familiarise themselves with the Reserve. Do they clean their trucks? It’s a problem that will get worse as fire safety takes priority over conservation.

The Parks & Conservation Rangers arrange spraying of the African lovegrass along these perimeter roads to reduce spread into the adjacent nature reserves. Crucial work to reduce the propagule pressure on high conservation value areas.
