User's notes

This Camponotus started up the trunk from the ground, but quickly retreated when it encountered a column of coconut ants. It then moved on to a neighbouring tree. The coconut ants didn't seem to do anything to it, but it was all a bit fast to be sure (hence the terrible photos - sorry).

Hi Cath, interesting record. Regarding the ID, the has a golden tail, like C. aeneopilosus, but it is C. suffusus. Cheers, Jon
