On my end the leaves are a bit broader, and the plants are a good deal taller and more erect. Hypericum japonicum is really quite small, always prostrate, and occurs in bogs and seeps not usually on the forest floor. So i reckon Hypericum gramineum is the go
The GPS was off a touch, I’ve adjusted it. It was growing right next to the firetrail which did create a lot of wet areas due to the drainage, but I can’t remember exactly how damp that exact area was. Next time I’ll pay more attention now I’m aware of the similarity of the two species.
