In grassy woodland on the northern side of the drainage line mapped with Field Maps, Untreated Weeds. FoMM mapped same area several times and informed the land manager about the prevalence and spread of CNG. 2 years ago, contractors sprayed about 15% of CNG in the area; a second contractor treated CNG on the southern site south of drainline last winter. CNG in the north of drainline was never treated and continues to spread. And there is regrowth of CNG at treated sites as predicted by Friends of Mt Majura - you don't need to be an expert to predict regrowth of CNG if there was a dense growth before and particularly if CNG was slashed at peak seeding time (which is one of the best way to spread the seeds). I suggested a number of management options which are of course ignored or explicitly prohibited by the land manager (such as mulching to suppress germination of CNG from seeds, to reduce nutrients and to "buy" time for native ground cover to move in or arrange for native ground cover seeds to bring in). CNG is a high priority weed, highly invasive, a transformer weed and a Weed of National Significance...
