User's notes
This plant is strange! there is a stem from the ground with some leaves at ground level. The stem then takes a 90 degree change of direction to become horizontal and then another 90 deg turn to go vertical, , culminating in a "bud"and a long , fine, sharp spike. Nearby was this pink flower which appears to have the same leaves. I would like to know what they are and if there is a relationship between the two . The 3rd photo was taken on my phone just to get the location
