@RogerF this appears to be the alpine form of Grevillea australis. I'm curious as to whether you think it should be here in the ACT, i've only ever seen it above the treeline myself.

Grevillea australis is quite common below the tree line in sub-alpine/montane areas especially along the margins of frost hollow grasslands. I am not sure what you mean about 'alpine' form. The leaves can vary from terete to lanceolate. Terete leafed forms are supposed to be rare but they are common in the montane populations at lower elevations that I have observed. At or above the tree line in the Perisher area the leaves are lanceolate in appearance and rarely terete.
