User's notes

This is understood to be Lamium argentatum or Yellow Archangel. It is currently being found by Rangers in the old garden areas of the Honeysuckle Creek Tracking Station.

Nice one, I wonder if this is one that needs to be controlled, @MichaelMulvaney ? We had some of this in our garden and it was a bit invasive so might be worth getting rid of before it spreads far.

Oooh, fascinating. Not one I knew hence my rather questionable suggestion. Presumably a remanent from the old tracking station so was probably planted originally

Thanks Thommo - Luke with this one there needs to be a balancing of the cultural significance the planting may have as opposed to its weed risk potential. This plant does have a known history of spreading into wet forests in South-eastern Australia, is said to be difficult to control once established and has a high weed risk potential - so good that it is being monitored
