Hi Iain, The open tail end of this insect makes think it is more likely to be a moth, but I could be wrong. Not seen anything like this before on a leafhopper.

I think the head and thorax are too big and decorated for this to be a moth. I think it is a Hemipteran.

I have not seen an adult P. oligodrachma with a yellow head and thorax, although its caterpillar has.

My suggestion was meant to be it was perhaps a leafhopper or similar Hermipteran, not that it was T. maculosa specifically.
