P. nigerrima is distinguished by ten series of strongly punctured rows. It is very variable, sometimes all black or all striped. This six-blotched form mimics P. beata. I can tell that yours is the mimic (ie nigerrima) by the broken blotches, caused by the deep puncturation series). A form of beata (rubrosignata) occurs in Queensland, which your beetle seems to imitate. Curiously, while I have seen your exact beetle before (in Campbelltown) there are no records the red-bordered beata in NSW.https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/27687319
