A Casuarina not the usual Allocasuarina verticillata which is common in this area. Sample of flowering branch taken by Waltraud for id. See

I collected mature fruit (cone): 25mm long, approx 20mm diameter with flat top; i counted 8 translucent leaf-teeth in a whorl (but find counting tiny structures in a whorl quite hard...).
It is local to the tabelands but not to the ACT persay, The only populations that I know of are planted ones. I would say this is not local to the Majura area, but probably not worth removing.
Burbidge and Grey in their Flora of the ACT record its as occurring on the steep rocky slopes near Gibraltar Falls and according the Atlas of Living Australia there are herbarium records from this area, So it is a local - but it is unclear whether it is local to Mt Majura or not
ALA also has a record from 2013 from this Mt Majura north area with coordinates which place it on the Clancys track - given the 1000 m uncertainty of the coordinates, this could well be the same tree. Record from 2013 is observation by ANPS ACT Wednesday Walkers.
