Significant sighting

MichaelMulvaney noted:

18 Oct 2021

This is a very common fern on the east coast of Australia but is near its inland limit within the ACT and it is locally uncommon. However, a few more records of new locations and it should be taken off the rare ACT plant list

User's notes

ID is more of a guess than anything, unusual water fern seen perhaps 20 metres above ashbrook creek. No Sori present.

The "rabbit ear" backward pointing initial pinnae are a dead give-away. The black scales are also definitive. Lots of it (years ago) on Oakey Creek at the northern end of the Tidbinbilla Range.

Thanks, dcnicholls, I'll keep that one in mind for next time. :)
@MichaelMulvaney is this sighting of any significance??

I have also seen it in the Black Mountain bushland, near Belconnen Way (admittedly, decades ago)
