I am suggesting P. beggaria for the following reasons: 1. shape and appearance of crest; 2. overall brown (not grey) colouration; 3. distinct wing spot; 4. within known range (there are records for the ACT, see Bold Systems 4.).

I don't think this is a Paralaea, rather a Fisera. Although Paralaea belidearia and chionopasta have networks of forewing lines that include transverse lines, the two main lines showing particularly in photo three are more like Fisera. But I'll look further before making a suggestion, eg F. belidearia or hypoleucaa.

To me it looks most similar to Paralaea porphyrinaria and it appears to be quite a common moth. Most sightings on iNat have a black dot on the forewing but there are some with an orange one.

Paralaea porphyrinaria was present on the night, but usually shows distinct purplish/brown lines longitudinally down the veins. But your comment made me realise that the termen on the forewing in your photo is crenulated, which matches Paralaea rather then Fisera. On the other hand, I can't see those faint transverse lines in photo three on any Paralaea (compare them with photos of F. eribola). Perhaps it is brought out only with the right flash lighting angle. Fisera and Paralaea can be easily distinguished by the structure of the protrusion at the front of the head, but we don't have a front on shot. Perhaps more photos will come through.
