Possibly disturbed by my presence, the wasp dropped its spider and flew off, but returned about 5 minutes later and retrieved it. The spider had had all its legs removed. A few coconut ants had investigated it before the wasp returned (image 4), but arrived in numbers after wasp and spider had gone.
