This moth look very muchlike Rupicolana orthias, but it has a white mark instead of a black mark at the base of the forewing rather than a black mark as all other images of R. orthias I have seen online. Is it a melanistic form of the species?
I see a dark brown triangle on the forewing base, adjacent to a very pale band, but the pattern is the same as on other specimens of R. orthias. There is a white tuft at the hind-margin end of the white band, which could be on the abdomen?
