“Wrinkles under the armpits” is pretty diagnostic of Eucalyptus rossii.
One of the more important things in identifying gunm trees is what the whole tree looks like and what the bark is like. In general, flowers are of little use for IDing eucalyptus species, except for the relatively few where one ring of stamens of the two is sterile (does not produce pollen). Buds and gumnuts are far more diagnostic.

hi betty, i noted that there were no wrinkled armpits on these trees. hope this helps. also see previous sightings from about a month before this one. same trees in bud.

Sorry it's not the best image but it is of the armpit of the branch (on the left hand side). No wrinkles present. Next time will aim for better photography.
