Has a small snout; similar shape to Rhinodia rostraria; pronounced hookwing.

Pattern similar to Mnesampela lenaea Hindwing margin triangular more like Mnesampela comarcha. Also black and white scales at wing base

I think the sharp pointed hindwing probably rules out Mnesampela spp. which have rounded and slightly scalloped hindwing margins. Looks similar to the plain grey Sighting No 4207921 which was called R. rostraria so I am suggesting that species given I'm lacking a better alternative.

This is a female Mnesampela lenae. They have a more strongly hooked forewing apex than the males. The underside supprts it, as R, rostraria are quite different.

OK, but the sharp point to the hindwing margin was hard to reconcile with Mnesampela for mine.

I think the hindwing is kinked upwards in the first photo at a point where there is a bend at the edge of the wing.
