Grey Currawongs are much more grey, lack the white at the base of the tail, and have white/cream tips to the end of the primary feathers. The final feature is probably the most helpful, but I do like to see a combination of those features when IDing Grey Currawong.

Thanks for that Rhu, I was using Reader's Digest Complete Book of Australian Birds, which has been good so far but not in this case.
