Could be, though the hooked tips of the ‘leaves’ are a worry. Othe possibilities with a central vein in the ‘leaves’ off the top of my head are Acacia rubida and Acacia Falciformis, though their ‘leaves’ do not have hooked tips either.

It looks more like A. rubida than A. pycnantha. Check the images in CNM. Flowers of A. pycnantha are larger and more yellow (usually).

Betty and Mike - Thanks very much. Sorry my photos were not good. I have added photos of a sprig. I agree it is more like Acacia rubida, now I have looked at photos of both. When I went back I noticed that that there were about 10 more further down the hill, all the same leaves and flowers.
