Elevation >1200m, but last large skink I photographed here was id'd as Cunningham's, so I'm not really sure ...

Yes - it is another Cunningham's Skink - quite a high elevation for that species. Notice the brown body colour and the enlarged spiky scales on tail and back - that helps separate it from the Black Rock Skink.
