I recorded A. cultriformis at this site on the 13 October 2016 (https://canberra.naturemapr.org/Community/Sighting/3361649); at that time less than 10 plants occurred. I was not sure about the species which I haven't seen on Mt Majura before. Today Peter, Brian and I re-visited the site and cut and dabbed 43 Acacia cultriformis at this one site. In just 1.5 years numbers increase from less than 10 to over 40! forming thickets where there should be grassy woodland. The species has been planted along Federal Highway and invades Mt Majura nature reserve where it threatens one of the best grassy woodlands sites with Hoary Sunray and other rare and endangered species.
The 3rd photograph shows A. cultriformis on the Federal Highway side of the fence.
