At that altitude, it is as likely to be Ranunculus graniticola. It would have been easier to make the decision if there had been a photo of a whole plant. I based my ID on the fact that lappaceus nearly always has branched stems, and that graniticola usually does not. To be absolutely certain, one has to kook at the tiny pocket under 1 mm long at the base of a petal (nectary lobe). In lappaceus it is wedge shaped. In graniticola the sides are about parallel to each other. There is also a difference in the shape of the seeds.
